In a special meeting of the Board on Monday, November 19, the FISD trustees named Jeremy Lyon, Ph.D, as the lone finalist for the superintendent position. Dr. Lyon will replace Dr. Rick Reedy, who announced his retirement earlier this year. Dr. Reedy is retiring in his 16th year as superintendent. Jeff was elected Mayor of Frisco in 2017 after serving on the city council for 9 years. Jeff is also a CPA and Registered Investment Advisor. He graduated among the top of his class from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Public Accounting. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a Senior Associate serving real estate and insurance industries. Jeff then served as a Director of Portfolio Operations for a Dallas-based investment advisory firm where he furthered his knowledge of real estate and asset valuation. Jeff started The Cheney Group in 2003 serving sellers, buyers, and investors.
Dana graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Baylor University. She began her career in finance, before becoming a marketing consultant at a large financial services firm. Dana collaborates on The Cheney Group marketing team and is an owner of Lifestylefrisco.com. She has an ongoing involvement in both charitable and social organizations. Jeff and Dana are the parents of three busy kids they love to attend their many sporting and academic events around town.
Born and raised in Orange County, California, Allyson graduated from Long Beach State where she played volleyball, helping the team win a national championship in 1993. Her expertise, knowledge, and commitment to ensuring the satisfaction of every client can be seen day in and day out. With a background in human resources, recruiting, and business development, Allyson has proven to be an instrumental addition to the team. She can often be found at local sporting events with her three kids. Allyson’s daughter plays soccer for FC Dallas and her two boys play baseball, basketball, and football for Frisco teams.
Louis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from University of Houston. Our customers benefit from his deep knowledge of NEW construction and strong relationships with Builders. Louis has a competitive nature and is known to be a fierce negotiator. In his spare time he also leads fitness classes at Cowboys Fit and is a competitive Triathlete.
Nikki comes to The Cheney Group following a 25-year career in Advertising and Marketing. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising from Ferris State University where she was a scholarship athlete competing in both cross country and track. Our customers benefit from her competitive nature as she is known to be a fierce negotiator. Originally from Michigan, she moved to Texas over 12 years ago to enjoy the warmer climate and healthy economy.
Having grown up in North Dallas and currently a Frisco resident, Tim has developed an extensive knowledge and appreciation for the area. He takes great pleasure in providing extraordinary service and pledges to work in tandem with buyers to find the best solutions for today’s market. With a degree in Business from Baylor, a thorough understanding of commercial and residential real estate, and successful partnerships with investors and developers, he is able to help our clients’ visions become a reality. Beyond his love for real estate, Tim has a passion for sports and coaches middle school boy’s soccer at his alma mater, Trinity Christian Academy. Tim and his wife, Ashlee, have two young boys, and are very involved at Watermark in Plano.
A graduate of Baylor University, Laura has been with The Cheney Group for almost 10 years. She is a licensed Realtor, with an additional focus on renovation and design. Laura and her family have lived in Frisco for 12 years. She is active in her child's elementary PTA, attends Hope Fellowship, is a member of RESA (Real Estate Staging Association), serves as the Kids Shouldn't Have Cancer Foundation's Gold Party Chair of Committee Development and Auction Chair, and is a founding member of the Newman Village Philanthropy Committee. Laura's nine-plus years of real estate experience include luxury home sales, new home builds, property management, investing, marketing, staging and design.
Dolly joined the Cheney Group in 2011 after several years as the Keller Williams Frisco Office Administrator. She earned her Bachelors and Masters Degree from Delhi University where she graduated with honors. Dolly also brings 10 years of experience from Fortune 100 companies. As a licensed Realtor, Dolly handles customer expectations and needs with excellence. Her quick response to your needs and requests will be met with superior attention, professionalism, and efficiency. In her spare time, Dolly cheers on her young son at football games and has an elder daughter in college.
A graduate of Texas Tech, Amber was a successful pharmaceuticals representative before bringing her excellent relationship building and leadership skills to our expanding property management division. As our ever-growing company needs have changed, she has changed with us and is now an essential member of our marketing team. Amber’s sales and marketing background, as well as her energy and creative thinking, has proven her a vital component to the marketing division. Most evenings you will find her at Frisco Fieldhouse watching her son play basketball and her daughter cheer and tumble.
