Plano’s Legacy West Getting Even Bigger

If you saw our recent Facebook post about Plano’s Legacy West you are well aware of the changes coming to the neighborhood. If not, let’s do a little catch up. The home of Toyota and Liberty Mutual Insurance’s huge business campuses, the $2 billion Legacy West project broke ground two years ago and is expanding once again. With construction well underway, the project’s developer has purchased additional land. According to one of the original partners, the 9 additional acres of land that was purchased this year will be used for a bank and luxury hotel. JPMorgan Chase will be moving their regional office campus to Legacy West, which they expect to be a prime retail location on the new land. Being referred to as “not your typical bank”, the financial campus will share the space with an impressive high-rise hotel by a yet-to-be-determined hotel firm.

It should also be noted that the new development is directly across the street from the $400 million Legacy West urban village, which is slated to include expansive retail and restaurant space, as well as offices, apartments, and a 304-room Renaissance Hotel.

As if Plano residents and those that are considering to move to the area weren’t already excited enough about the latest announcements, the changes coming to Legacy West and the surrounding developments are creating even more of a buzz.
