- Old Downtown Plano
Plano is home to charming downtown area in which they have worked hard to refurbish and breathe new life into over the years. The original brick streets were actually restored in 1986, and, when coupled with the old buildings and turn of the century architecture, it has turned the area into one that draws people in and brings about a sense of nostalgia.
- Heritage Farmhouse Museum
Restored in 1895, this old school Victorian farmhouse actually has all of its original outbuildings. Back in the day, it was actually a working farmhouse that was considered ahead of its time. Today, the stunning building serves as a museum that’s main purpose is to showcase what rural life on the Blackland Prairie was like in the late 1800s and early 1900s. In addition to the main building, there are seven restored original buildings on the four-acre property. The Heritage museum is a wonderful opportunity to get a taste of what life was like in the area well before it was Plano as we know it today.
