The first phase of the highly anticipated Wade Park project is expected to open in 2015. The tremendous, 110-acre mixed use development to be anchored by a 45,000 square foot Whole Foods Market, will be Frisco-central, located off the Dallas North Tollway and Lebanon Road and only 20 minutes from downtown Dallas.
In addition to Whole Foods, Thomas Land & Development plans to announce additional anchor tenants in the near future. “We have assembled an impressive team to head up development and leasing, and they are securing the best partners to make Wade Park a true destination in one of the most desirable and fastest growing communities in the country” president & founder of Thomas Land & Development, Stan Thomas announced. “We are looking forward to breaking ground in August, as we begin to create the premier center for Frisco to live, work, shop and play.”
Adjacent to the hotel and entertainment district, The Offices at Wade Park will consist of two 250,000 square foot buildings, two 14-story buildings, plus four other office buildings totaling a comprehensive 3 million square feet of commercial office space. An additional 600,000 square feet is aligned for specialty retail including shops, restaurants, hotels and entertainment venues.
Residential space is another feature we are keeping our eyes on. The development is set to host 1,200 multi-family residential units plus 127 Charleston-style single-family homes with luxury amenities and elite concierge services. The Wade Park project is definitely on our radar and we look forward to announcing more breaking news on this massive project as it develops.
Wade Park Joins the Platinum Corridor
Newman Real Estate has just released details about the 110-acre mixed-use development planned for the corner of Lebanon and Dallas North Tollway in Frisco. See the full press release here.
According to Wakefield Beasley & Associates, the firm handling the project’s master plan, “The Forum at Wade Park will consist of 110 acres of multiple uses. The project is currently planned to contain approximately 585,000 square feet of retail, 96,000 square feet of office over retail, 2.3 million square feet in multiple mid to high rise buildings, 700 multi-family residential units and 125 single family residential units.” The rendering on the WBA website shows Whole Foods Market coming into the development as an anchor.
Jim Newman of Newman Real Estate says we can indeed expect blue-chip tenants to come into Wade Park. “[It] will be the place to go when you have a special occasion to celebrate or to spend an afternoon discovering the latest trends from the runway, at stores that you currently have to drive 20 miles to NorthPark Center to find,” Mr. Newman shared.
Just one exit past the Dallas Cowboys’ headquarters site, the Forum at Wade Park development is a significant and distinctive new addition to the “Platinum Corridor,” the lucrative commercial/retail trend that begins at 635 and continues north up the Tollway.
Frisco is fortunate to be the desired site for these kinds of developments, which contribute to city property values and economic growth.
